3. We’ve been talking about heroes, and Moses, and faith,
上次节目中,我们谈到英雄、摩西和信心。

4. and we saw that, in Hebrews, Chapter 11, verse 23,
在希伯来书11章23节,我们读到:

5. “By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months…because they… were not afraid of the king’s edict.”
“摩西的父母,就因着信把他藏了三个月,并不怕王命。”

6. In the last message, we saw
在上一次的信息中,我们看到,

7. that by faith Moses was called of God to accomplish the impossible.
因着信,摩西被神呼召去完成那些难以完成的事情。

8. I told you that the Hebrews were relocated into Egypt at their brother, Joseph’s invitation.
我讲到,希伯来人因着约瑟的邀请而下埃及去。

9. At that time, there were seventy of them.
当时,他们只有七十个人。

10. but, in the course of four hundred years, they became nearly two million people.
但是,四百年以后,他们变成二百万人。

11. They became a nation inside a nation.
他们成为国家里的国家。

12. A new Pharaoh also came to the throne.
一个新的法老登基了。

13. This Pharaoh did not know that their ancestor, Joseph, saved Egypt from starvation.
这位新法老并不认识曾经拯救他们祖先脱离饥荒的约瑟。

14. This new Pharaoh wanted to eradicate his predecessor’s policies.
这位新的法老打算废除先王的政策。

15. Pharaoh said to his people,
法老告诉他的百姓说:

16. “Look…the Israelites have become much too numerous for us.”
“看哪,这以色列民比我们还多,又比我们强盛。”

17. In Exodus, Chapter 1, verse 9,
在出埃及记第一章,第九节。

18. Exodus, Chapter 1, verse 10, tells us
出埃及记第一章第十节告诉我们,

19. that Pharaoh felt that he was in a terrible predicament.
那位法老觉得他在一个非常可怕的危机里。

20. He thought, “If we have a war, the Hebrews may join our enemies,
他想:“如果我们有战争,这些希伯来人可能会站到敌人那方去,

21. or they may leave Egypt.”
或者,他们会离开埃及。”

22. Pharaoh wasn’t happy living with these slaves,
其实,法老并不喜欢和这些奴隶生活在一起,

23. but neither did he want to live without them for their cheap slave labor,
但是,他也不想失去这些廉价的劳动力。

24. so, he devised a three-stage plan to curtail their growth rate.
所以,他想出了一个三步骤的计划,来抑制以色列人口的增长率。

25. First, he would demoralize them-
首先,他打击他们的士气,

26. wear them down, both body and soul, so that they would stop producing more children;
损耗他们的体力和心灵,让他们不再生育更多的孩子。

27. but this strategy failed.

28. The more they were oppressed, the more children they produced.

29. Stage number two was to control the birth rate through killing.

30. Pharaoh said, “Kill all newborn baby boys.”
法老说:“要杀死所有生下来的男孩。”

31. Moses’ parents already had two children.
摩西的父母已经有两个孩子,

32. Miriam and Aaron were born before this edict became law.
米利暗和亚伦是在该项法令实施以前出生的。

33. In the midst of this severe crisis, Moses was born;
正当危机发生之际,摩西出生了;

34. but Pharaoh’s new law failed also.
可是,法老的新法令也失败了。

35. Pharaoh ordered the midwives to kill the baby boys at birth,
法老命令接生婆在婴儿出生的时候就把他们杀掉,

36. but that too has failed.
但是,也没有成功。

37. The third stage was to throw every young Hebrew male into the River Nile.
计谋的第三个阶段是,把希伯来人的男婴扔到尼罗河里去。

38. You can only imagine the incredible weeping and wailing and horror of mothers
你能够想象得出那些母亲难以言状的哭泣、哀号和恐惧吗?

39. as their baby boys were snatched from their breast and thrown into the River Nile.
因为他们的婴儿从母亲怀中活生生地被抢走,扔到尼罗河里去。

40. In the midst of this dangerous world, Moses was born.
就在这个最危险的世代,摩西出生了。

41. My listening friends, please listen to what I am going to tell you.
我亲爱的朋友,请听我下面要对您讲的话。

42. No matter how bleak the future may appear,
不论前途是多么的暗淡,

43. you must put your trust in God Who specializes in exercising His power.
你必须相信神会运用祂的大能,这是祂的专长。

44. No matter how dark things may appear,
不论前途是多么的黑暗,

45. even in the darkest part of society,
甚至在社会的最阴暗面里,

46. you must put your confidence in the One Who specializes in shining His light in the darkness.
你必须信任最擅长于在黑暗中发出亮光的那一位。

47. In these times, you must take courage-
在这些时候,你必须鼓起勇气,

48. courage to pray in faith,
凭信心祷告的勇气;

49. courage to plan in hope,
在希望中计划的勇气;

50. courage to minister and serve,
事奉服务的勇气;

51. courage to trust in the God of Moses.
勇敢地去相信摩西的神。

52. After being entrenched in a pagan culture for four hundred years,
在异教文化中寄居了四百年,

53. the vast majority of Hebrews were practicing the pagan religion of Egypt.
大多数希伯来人都随从了埃及的宗教。

54. In fact, even after they had entered into the Promised Land,
实际上,甚至当他们进入应许之地以后,

55. many of them still were unbelieving and practicing pagan worship
他们中的很多人仍然不信神,并随从异教信仰,

56. and this was fifty years after they had left Egypt.
这是他们离开埃及五十年以后的事。

57. In Joshua, Chapter 24 and verse 14,
在约书亚记24章14节那里说:

58. “… fear the Lord and… throw away the gods that your fathers worshipped in Egypt...”
“要敬畏耶和华……将你们列祖在埃及所事奉的神除掉……”

59. but the sinful practices that the Hebrews learned in Egypt were so entrenched in their hearts,
但是,希伯来人在埃及学来的罪恶生活,在他们心中已经根深蒂固了,

60. even after seeing all of the miraculous signs and wonders and the mighty hand of God,
即使他们看见神大能的手所行的神迹奇事。

61. but Moses’ parents were among the handful of faithful remnant among the Hebrews-
然而摩西的父母,却属于希伯来人中少数仍然信靠神的人,

62. a faithful remnant who kept the faith of their forefathers Abraham, Jacob and Isaac.
他们是残余几个仍然能够持守先祖亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的信心的人。

63. What does this tell us?
这告诉我们什么呢?

64. That tells us that, even if the whole world goes crazy
它告诉我们,即便这个世界变得不可理喻,

65. and only one person remains faithful,
甚至只剩下一个人持守信心,

66. God will honor that person’s faithfulness.
神仍然看中那个人的信心。

67. That tells us that, even when other believers get swept off their feet by immorality,
它告诉我们,即使其他的信徒都受败坏风俗的冲击,

68. if you stand firm, God will honor your faithfulness.
如果你站稳立场,神就会看中你的信心。

69. God honored the faithfulness of Moses’ parents
神看中摩西父母的信心,

70. and that is why again Hebrews 11:23 is very important.
这就是为什么希伯来书11章23节是如此地重要。

71. “By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months…”
“就因着信,把他藏了三个月,并不怕王命。”

72. This level of faith was difficult
这种信心并非容易,

73. but they knew that, even in the midst of crisis, God would make a way.
但他们知道,在危难当中,神会开一条出路。

74. Why did they do this?
他们为什么会这样做?

75. Because they knew that they could trust their God.
因为他们晓得,可以信赖他们的神。

76. Their faith in the faithfulness of God gave them the power over fear from wicked laws.
信实的神使他们有信心,给他们力量,不惧怕邪恶的法律。

77. Faith in the power of God’s deliverance gave them power over fear of the world’s wickedness.
对神的拯救有信心,使他们有能力,不惧怕邪恶的世界。

78. I want to speak a word to parents.
我想对作父母的说一句话。

79. There is no greater gift that you can give your children than to teach them to trust in the Living God.
对你的儿女来说, 世上再没有什么比教导他们信靠永生神更好的礼物了。

80. Teaching your children to have faith in God is far greater than millions of pounds,
教导你们的儿女信靠神,胜于千万金银;

81. greater than all the education you can give them.
胜于你能够给予他们的所有教育。

82. Imagine for three months trying to keep a baby a secret!
设想一下,偷偷收藏一个婴儿三个月之久!

83. Every time the baby cries, he could lose his life.
每当孩子啼哭的时候,他都有可能会丧命。

84. Every time there is a knock on the door, it could be a baby’s executioner.
每一次当有人敲门,很可能就是刽子手。

85. Every moment of these three months were petrifying moments
在这三个月当中的每一刻,都是令人心惊胆颤的时刻。

86. but their faith in God immobilized their fear-
但是,他们对神的信靠克服了他们的惧怕。

87. not only that, but faith gave them courage to follow God’s plan.
不仅如此,信心也给予他们勇气来遵行神的计划。

88. Jochebed, Moses’ mother, got a basket and waterproofed it with tar
摩西的母亲约基别,找了一个篮子,涂上柏油,用来防水,

89. and placed the baby in that crude crib
再把孩子放进粗糙的篮子里。

90. and took him to the very instrument of death.
然后,把他放进死亡的关口中。

91. Remember, all baby boys were thrown into the River Nile.
记得吗,所有的男婴都要被扔到尼罗河里去。

92. The Nile River represents the instrument of death and perishing.
尼罗河代表杀戮和死亡;

93. The River Nile represents the instrument of sorrow and grief.
尼罗河代表着悲恸和伤心。

94. My listening friend, listen very carefully.
亲爱的朋友,请仔细听我说。

95. When you are in God’s protection program,
当你在神的保护计划中,

96. the instrument of death becomes the source of life.
死亡的关口就会变成生命的源头。

97. When you are in the middle of God’s plan,
当你行在神的计划中,

98. the very thing that terrifies others gives you courage.
让别人感到恐惧的事,对你却是激励。

99. When you are on God’s schedule,
当你按照神的时间表来行动,

100. the very cause of pain becomes the source of joy.
痛苦的成因将会变为喜乐的源头。

101. The River Nile was the grave of many a baby
尼罗河虽然是很多婴儿的坟墓,

102. and, yet, it became the very source of life for Moses.
但是却成为摩西生命的源头。

103. My listening friend, please listen very carefully.
我亲爱的朋友,请听我说。

104. Following God’s plan does not mean lazily sitting back and doing nothing.
顺从神的计划并不表示袖手旁观,无所事事;

105. It doesn’t mean for you to sit back and say, “God will do it.”
并不表示干坐在那里说:“反正神都会做的。”

106. Following God’s plan means diligence, hard work and actively looking to God.
顺从神的计划意味着殷勤、努力地工作,并积极地仰望神。

107. Moses’ parents probably placed the basket in the river just a few minutes prior to Pharaoh’s daughter’s arrival,
也许摩西的父母是在法老女儿到达之前几分钟把篮子放到河里的,

108. and Miriam, Moses’ elder sister, waited in the bushes,
并且,摩西的姐姐米利暗在草丛中等着,

109. and, just as Pharaoh’s daughter heard the cry of the baby,
就在法老的女儿听见婴儿哭声的那一刻,

110. right on schedule, Miriam pops out of the reeds and asks Pharaoh’s daughter, “Are you looking for a Hebrew woman to feed the baby?”
米利暗立刻从芦苇丛中跑出来,问法老的女儿说:“你是不是正在找一位希伯来奶妈来奶这孩子?”

111. Pharaoh’s daughter probably thought that this was great luck.
法老的女儿也许认为这是运气巧合。

112. I want you to focus with me here on this delicious irony.
我想请你注意这里绝妙的讽刺:

113. Jochebed, Moses’ mother, got to feed her baby under the protection of the king’s daughter
摩西的母亲约基别在法老女儿的保护下,喂养她自己的孩子。

114. and what is even more ironic is that she got paid for mothering her own child.
更讽刺的是,她抚养自己的儿子,竟然还可以领薪水。

115. Parents, let me tell you a few things as I conclude.
身为父母的朋友,让我以下面几个重点,作为今天的总结。

116. Number one,
第一,

117. implement God’s plan for your children.
把神的计划落实在你儿女的身上。

118. We live in a dangerous world,
我们生活在一个危机重重的时代,

119. but you and your children are safe in the will of God.
但如果你和你的儿女遵行神的旨意,就有平安。

120. Secondly,
第二,

121. practice your faith unashamedly in the midst of a hostile culture.
在一个抵挡神的文化中,勇于实践你的信心。

122. In the midst of the blazing fires, you are safer in the will of God than out of the will of God in your bedroom.
在烈火的熔炉中,只要是在神的旨意里,就比在你自己的卧室却远离神的旨意,安全多了。

123. Moses’ parents were a faithful remnant in the midst of pagans.
摩西的父母是在异教的环境中存留下来少数忠于信仰的人。

124. If your children see you compromise, they too will compromise.
如果你的儿女看见你妥协,他们也会妥协。

125. If your children see you standing firm for your faith,
如果你的儿女看见你坚守信仰,

126. they will grow up standing firm in the faith.
他们也会坚守信仰。

127. Thirdly,
第三,

128. you must trust God to help you be faithful.
你必须依赖神,使你保持忠心。

129. You cannot do it alone
你无法孤军奋战,

130. and, when your children see you dependent on God,
而且,当你的儿女看见你倚靠神,

131. they too will grow up dependent on God.
他们也会倚靠神成长。

132. Moses’ name was ‘drawn out.’
摩西这个名字就是“救拔”的意思。

133. Every person who trusts Jesus Christ for their salvation
每一位相信耶稣基督并祂的救恩的人,

134. is drawn out from among those who are perishing;
都是从灭亡中被救出来的;

135. drawn out to escape the judgment of God that is coming upon the world.
他们被救出来,可以脱离神的审判,就是将要临到世界的。

136. The problem of most of us is this -
大多数人的问题是,

137. we often forget that we are drawn out for a purpose.
我们常常忘记,我们被救赎出来是带有目的的。

138. Moses was drawn out, not only to be saved,
摩西被救出来,不仅仅是他自己得救,

139. but to help save others.
而是为了拯救其他更多人。

140. God draws you out and He draws me out of the jaws of Satan and Hell.
神把你我从撒但和地狱的口中拯救出来,

141. Why?
为什么?

142. Not to live any which way we want to live,
并不是让我们从心所欲,为所欲为。

143. no.
不是的,

144. He draws us out to serve the King of Kings and to make His salvation known.
他拯救我们,是要我们服事万王之王,并使万民知道祂的救恩。

145. May each one of us ask God the question,
但愿我们每一位都能问神这样一个问题:

146. “God, what is Your purpose in drawing me out and saving me?
“神啊,你救拔我的目的是什么?

147. How can I use the gifts You gave me to draw others out?”
我如何用您所赐给我的恩赐,去帮助其他的人从罪恶中出来?”
