1. Hello our listening friends, we are glad you joined us once more.

3. And today we are going to look at the one thing that God cannot see.

4. I want to begin by quoting one man who was an atheist.

5. This man was a historian.

6. His name is H.G. Wells.

7. He said he was repelled by Jesus.

8. And he called him the image of virtue, this terrible and incomprehensible Galilean.

9. Wells is not the first one or the last one to reject Jesus Christ.

10. He found his purity and sinlessness to be challenging.

11. We saw in the last three broadcasts that the government of the time abandoned Jesus.

12. Organized religion repudiated Jesus.
宗教当局完全否定祂。
13. The crowd reviled Jesus.
群众都在辱骂耶稣。
14. His friends had fled and forsaken him.

15. And today we see the ultimate abandonment.
今天我们要看祂彻底的被弃绝。
16. In the past three broadcasts we saw how at the third hour which is about 9 o’clock in the morning.

17. While Jesus was suspended between heaven and earth he as the high priest forgave the sins of his transgressors.
当耶稣被悬挂在天地之间,作为大祭司,祂赦免世人的罪。
18. But that’s not surprising

19. Then about mid-morning and he looked to a repentant criminal hanging on the other cross next to him and he made him a promise.

20. Today you shall be with me in paradise.

21. That is not surprising.

22. Then in the middle of the day, Jesus looked upon his mother Mary and the disciple whom he loved, John and he made provision for his mother.

23. That is not surprising.

24. Today we will see how about high noon, or the 9th hour.

25. When the brightness of the day turned into the blackness of midnight.

26. Jesus made the fourth statement from the cross.

28. Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.

29. It is not surprising.

30. Today you shall be with me in paradise.

34. But the fourth one is puzzling.

37. It is very surprising.

38. Eloi, Eloi, Lama sabachthani is confusing.

39. Eloi, Eloi, Lama sabachthani arches over the previous three statements as well as the next three statements.

40. Turn with me please to Matthew 27:45.

42. Let us read Matthew 27 together…

43. Now I want you to reflect on this passage under two headings.

44. First,

45. The three hours of darkness that lit up the world.

46. Secondly,

47. The moment of desertion that redeemed the world.

48. You know how bright the sun is during the high noon.

49. The brightness of the sun is so dazzling.

50. It is blinding.

51. So imagine in the midst of the brightness of the high noon it becomes as dark as the middle of the night.

52. And it was not only for a moment or two.

53. It wasn’t only for an hour or two.
不是一两小时,
54. But it was for three hours.

55. This was God’s response to those who loved darkness better than light for the Scripture says the following.
这是神对那些爱黑暗却不爱光明的人的回应,圣经说:
56. The light came into the world and the world comprehended not.

57. It is as if God is saying, you love darkness, that’s what darkness is like.

58. It is as if God was saying, you prefer your way, that’s the end of it.

59. It is as if God was saying, you hated the light that my son came to bring I will grant you your request.

60. It is as if God was saying, you opt for the darkness of sin and shame, you have it.

61. But there is a deeper meaning to these three hours of darkness than this.
但这三小时的黑暗具有更深的意义。
62. The three hours of darkness were a fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecy.
这三小时的黑暗其实是要应验旧约圣经的预言。
63. When the high priest went into the holy of holies once a year to atone for the sin of the people.
每年的赎罪日,当大祭司进入至圣所为众民祷告赎罪时,
64. That place had to be dark so that no one could see the holy things and what is happening at the ark of the covenant.
那地方是黑暗的,没有人能够看见约柜和在那里所发生的事。
65. When Christ our high priest was ready to take his own blood into the heavenly tabernacle, nature darkened.
当我们的大祭司主耶稣基督将自己的血带到天上的圣所时,大自然都变得黑暗了。
66. So that the unsympathetic eye could not see.
使那些没有怜悯之心的人看不见。
67. In the Old Testament,

68. When the law of God was given on Mt. Sinai.

69. There were thick dark clouds on that mountain and all stood at a distance.

70. This thick darkness is symbolic of our inability to keep the Law of God.

71. For none of us has been able to keep that Law.
因为没有人能够完全遵守这些诫命。
72. When Christ who is the light of the world went into that darkness.
当世界的光耶稣基督进入黑暗里,
73. When the one who perfectly obeyed the Law of God entered into darkness.

74. That darkness of our inability to keep the Law wrapped him up as one who would be wrapping himself in a cloak.

75. There were three hours of darkness that lit up the world.
三小时的黑暗,却为世界带来光明。
76. Christ died in darkness.

77. Secondly,

78. We see the moment of desertion that has redeemed the world.

79. After hanging on the cross for six hours.
当主耶稣被钉在十字架上六小时之后,
80. About the 9th hour or 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
约在第九小时或下午3点钟,
81. Piercing this darkness of midnight came that cry.
主的呼喊划破了午夜的黑暗。
82. Eloi, Eloi, Lama sabachthani
以利,以利,拉马撒巴各大尼。
83. These are the very words that came out of the mouth of the Lord Jesus.
这是从主耶稣的口中所发出的呼喊。
84. On the surface we have these words translated, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
从字面上,这句话翻译为,我的神,我的神,为什么离弃我?
85. The word here means to leave someone in the lurch or to abandon someone.
“离弃”在这里的意思是,在危难时将祂舍弃不顾。
86. And that is why I told you earlier that this fourth statement from the cross was the most surprising of all.

87. How can the father and the Son who have eternally been in unity be separated?
天父与祂独生爱子之间永恒的联系,怎会被隔离?
88. How can the Father and the Son who have always been one, now become separated?

89. Please listen very carefully to what I am going to tell you.

90. Because if you understand the dept of these words we could understand the very center of what the cross is all about.

91. If you understand this moment in history, you will understand the very core of the Christian faith.

92. Again turn with me to Psalm 22 verse 1.

93. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
我的神,我的神,为什么离弃我?
94. Jesus was quoting this Psalm.
耶稣是在引用这首诗。
95. This Psalm is a prophecy of the cross.
这是预言十字架的诗篇。
96. As the Lord began to experience the derision, the dislocation, and the dehydration of the cross, he recalls the words of Psalm 22 with meticulous accuracy.
当主在十字架上被人嘲笑,骨头脱节和流血至脱水的时候,祂想起诗篇22篇的字句,丝毫不差。
97. In verse 7 of Psalm 22,

98. All who see me mock me, they hurl insults, shaking their heads saying, he trusted in the Lord let the Lord rescue him.

99. 1,000 years before Christ we have a literal prediction of what happened in Matthew 27:39.

1. When the crowd reviled Jesus at the cross and said he saved others, let him save himself.
当主耶稣被钉在十字架上,群众辱骂他说,你救了别人,可以救自己罢。
2. This was the fulfillment of Psalm 22.
这是应验了诗篇22篇的预言。
3. Let’s look at it.
请再看下去。
4. Psalm 22:14 says,
诗篇22篇14节说:
5. I am poured out like water and all my bones are out of joint.
我如水被倒出来,我的骨头都脱了节,我心在我里面如蜡镕化。
6. As Christ’s body racked with pain, that became the dislocation of the cross.
当基督在十字架上,肉体受尽折磨,连骨头都脱了节。
7. In verse 15 of Psalm 22 it says,
诗篇22篇15节说:
8. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
我的舌头贴在我牙床上,
9. That’s the dehydration which we see in John 19:28 when he said I thirst.
这就是约翰福音19章28节主耶稣说:“我渴了”的脱水现象。
10. In Palm 22 verse 16,
诗篇22篇16节,
11. The word of piercing.
“扎”这个字,
12. They have pierced my hands and feet.
他们扎了我的手和脚。
13. This was the foreshadowing of Matthew 27:49.
这是马太福音27章49节的预告。
14. In Psalm 22 verse 18.
在诗篇22篇18节,
15. They have divided my garments and cast lots for my clothing.
他们分我的外衣,为我的里衣拈阄。
16. That was fulfilled in Matthew 27:35.
这话在马太福音27章35节应验了。
17. Let me ask you this.
让我问你一个问题。
18. How can anyone doubt the cross when you see that centuries before it took place it was predicted with such accuracy.
当你看到几个世纪前的预言准确地应验,你还会怀疑十字架的救恩吗?
19. I have met people from around the world who have come to believe in Jesus Christ because of the accuracy of the Old Testament prophecy regarding Christ.
我到世界各处去遇到许多人,他们都是因为看见旧约圣经对基督的预言准确地应验而相信主耶稣。
20. How can anyone doubt the accuracy and the infallibility of the Scriptures when it was predicted 1,000 years earlier.

21. If you are one who doubts the Word of God to be the absolute truth, I submit to you that you have never gone to the trouble of examining it for yourself.
如果你怀疑神的话不是完全真确的,我想你是从来没有亲自去考证过。
22. Well you may ask, how come Jesus only recited verse one.
或者你会问,为什么主耶稣只说出第一节呢?
23. Well the answer is that most of the people had committed all of these Psalms to memory and all you need to do is mention the first verse and the rest immediately comes to mind.

24. Just in case you begin to think that Psalm 22 is all about defeat and suffering you need to read verses 27 and 28.

25. All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, for the kingdom is the Lords, he shall rule over the inhabitants.

26. Psalm 22 is a complete prophecy of the death and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

27. Eloi, Eloi, Lama sabachthani obviously is a word of prayer.
以利,以利,拉马巴撒各大尼,显然是一个祈祷。
28. Strange as it is, this is the only time that the Father did not answer the prayer of the Son.

29. When Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan.
当主耶稣在约但河接受洗礼的时候,
30. The Holy Spirit came and testified with a word from the Father.

31. This is my beloved Son.

32. When Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration with Moses and Elijah and the three disciples.

33. The Father said, this is my Son, hear Him.

34. But at the cross when the crowd was reviling him.

35. When he needed a word from the Father the most, he was deserted.

36. Why?

37. Some of the tradition would tell you that it is a blasphemy to say that the Father deserted the Son.

38. And they will give you an elaborate explanation.

39. Others who do not believe in the resurrection explain this as nothing but psychological depression.

40. Others would tell you that it is his imagination that the Father had forsaken him.

41. Just as we sometimes feel that the Father has forsaken us.

42. But none of these are correct.

43. But the reality is that this prayer we are looking at is the very heart and necessity of the cross.
主耶稣这个祷告,其实是十字架救恩的核心和必要的条件。
44. Listen very carefully to what really happened.
请注意接下来所发生的事。
45. At that very moment the sin of humanity rained down on Christ.
就在这一刻,全人类所有的罪,都落在基督的身上。
46. So much so that he experienced the very hell of being separated from the Father.
正因为这样,祂经历到了与父神隔绝的可怕境界。
47. And for the first time from eternity, the Son knew the wrath and the separation from the Father.

48. The Father could not look at the Son while he was carrying your sin and my sin.

49. The Father’s eyes are purer than to look on sin.

50. Proverbs 8:30 tells us that from eternity, the Son had delighted in the presence of the Father.

51. There was never a second during which there was no harmony between the Father and the Son.

52. Harmony in words.

53. Harmony in thought.

54. Harmony in deeds.

55. Yet for that moment of desertion when all your sins and mine were heaped upon him, for the first time, he looked up to the heavens, and he saw not God the Father, but God the judge.
但当祂担当着我和你全部的罪孽时,这是第一次,祂仰天所望见的并不是天父,而是审判的主宰。
56. This is the first time that Jesus did not use the word of familiarity, Abba.

57. The only time.

58. He used the term, Eloi, which indicates God the Sovereign, or God the Judge, or God the All-Filled One.

59. The pain that Jesus experienced as a result of his separation from the Father we could never, never, never grasp, comprehend, or understand.
主耶稣所经历与神隔绝的痛苦,是我们永永远远都无法体会和明白的。
60. All of this so that when you and I come to him in repentance and faith we can receive forgiveness.
因此当我们凭着信心来到主面前认罪悔改,才可以得到赦免。
61. And that is why Paul tells us in II Corinthians chapter 5.
也就是保罗在哥林多后书第5章所说的:
62. He who knew no sin became sin for us that we may become the very righteousness of God in Him.
神使那无罪的,替我们成为罪,好叫我们在祂里面成为神的义。
63. After the price was paid,
当主付上了重价,
64. In six hours, Jesus dismissed his spirit.
主耶稣在六小时后,祂把自己的灵魂交出来。
65. That word here has the meaning of a military commander who dismissed someone from his presence.
这句话就好像一个军官命令部下解散一样。
66. He was in complete command of his life.
祂完全掌握着自己的生命。
67. He dismissed his spirit when he wanted to.
随祂的意愿,交出自己的灵魂。
68. He dismissed his spirit after he paid the price for sin.
当祂为罪付上代价后,祂就交出自己的灵魂。
69. For earlier, Jesus said, I have authority to lay down my life and I have authority to take it up again.
耶稣曾说过,我有权柄舍去我的生命,也有权柄取回来。
70. The normal lingering dying on the cross would take forty-eight hours before the crucified man would die.
通常一个人被钉在十字架上会拖延48小时才会死去。
71. In this case, it took six hours.
但这次只有六小时,
72. And that is why the soldiers were surprised and they did not have to break his legs like they did with the others.
所以士兵都感到很奇怪,而不用好像对其他犯人那样,打断祂的脚好让祂快些死去。
73. There was a Danish doctor by the name of Dr. Rector.
有一 位丹麦医生名叫雷特。
74. And he studied the torture of the crucifixion.

75. Dr. Rector concluded that our Lord Jesus Christ ultimately died of a broken heart.
雷特医生的结论是,主耶稣基督的死全是因为心脏破碎。
76. He cited some instance in his research when the sac around the heart burst as a result of extreme agony.
他举出研究的例证,说明一个人在极度伤痛之下,心房四周的囊就会破裂。
77. When our Lord Jesus Christ was pierced in his side there was blood and water.
当士兵用矛枪刺入主耶稣基督的肋旁时,有水和血流出来。
78. Which was evidence that the cry of the moment and the pain of the hour, Jesus died of a heart that had literally had been broken.

79. While Dr. Rector’s speculation is right physically, it is certainly right spiritually.

80. For in the moment Jesus said, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me, he paid the penalty of sin.

81. Please listen to me very carefully as I’m ready to conclude.

82. Jesus died in darkness that those who believe in Him may live in light.

83. Jesus died in silence that all those who believe in him may forever have a word from God.

84. Jesus died forsaken that you might be accepted.

85. Jesus died rejected that I might be received.

86. Have you received him.

87. Have you received his death on the cross to be for you?

88. Have you received his payment for the penalty of your sin- to be for your sin?

89. If you have not done so, I pray that you will do so today.

90. And thus you’ll be assured of heaven.
