1. Hello, listening friends.

2. Thank you for tuning in for this second in the series on wisdom,

3. and I want to begin by talking about terror and fear as very real emotions.
首先,我想强调:恐惧战兢是人之常情。
4. Some people may deny their fearful emotions.
虽然有些人不承认他们心里有恐慌,
5. Others may ignore their fearful emotions.
有些人不愿意面对自己恐惧的情绪。
6. On the other hand, there are many people who allow their fearful emotions to control their lives;
可是,世界上却有无数的人整天都活在恐惧战兢当中;
7. but none of these are healthy ways of dealing with fear.
这些都不是处理恐惧的正确方式。
8. Now, fearful emotions are real;
当然,恐惧心理,人皆有之;
9. and that is why the Bible gives us so many promises regarding overcoming fear.
正因为如此,圣经才有诸多应许来帮助我们战胜恐惧。
10. Why does the Bible want us to learn to conquer fear?
为什么圣经要我们学习如何去克服恐惧呢?
11. Because fear can become an emotional prison.
因为恐惧会囚禁我们。
12. Fear can be more powerful than chains,
恐惧会成为强有力的锁链,
13. and irrational fear can be very destructive.
无縁无故的恐谎,具有强大的破坏力。
14. Why do I say this?
我为什么这样说呢?
15. Because irrational fear destroys your abilities.
因为无縁无故的恐惧会摧毁你的能力。
16. Irrational fear can destroy your dreams.
无縁无故的恐惧会破坏你的梦想。
17. Irrational fear can destroy your potential for God,
这种恐惧会消灭你服侍神的潜力,
18. and, most definitely, irrational fear can destroy relationships;
而且,这种恐惧绝对会破坏你跟其他人的关系;
19. and, if you do not know how to overcome fear, fear ultimately can kill you.
如果你不懂得如何战胜恐惧,最终,恐惧会毁了你。
20. Let me tell you three things the Bible tells us about fear.
关于恐惧,圣经上提到三点。
21. First,

22. fear is one of the devil’s most deadly weapons.
恐惧是魔鬼最致命的武器之一。
23. Secondly,

24. the devil controls fear.
魔鬼掌握着恐惧。
25. Thirdly,

26. because the devil is a liar and the father of lies, the devil always disguises fear as something else.
因为撒但是谎言和说谎之人的父,它往往把恐惧伪装起来,让我们难以辨别。
27. Now, there’s something else here of uttermost importance that I want to tell you.
有一件极其重要的事,我必须告诉你,
28. Jesus Christ died on the cross to deliver us from sin and the consequences of sin;
耶稣基督死在十字架上,不但要把我们从罪恶和犯罪的恶果中拯救出来;
29. but, also, He died to deliver us from fear;
而且,祂的死也能救我们脱离恐惧;
30. and that is why Jesus repeatedly commanded His believers, “Fear not. Fear not. Fear not.”
这就是为什么耶稣一再嘱咐祂的门徒:“不要惧怕,不要惧怕,不要惧怕。”
31. Now, of course, my listening friend, different people have different forms of fear.
当然,亲爱的朋友,我们知道,不同的人有不同的恐惧。
32. Some people are afraid of failure.
有人惧怕失败,
33. Some people are afraid of success.
有人惧怕成功。
34. Some people are afraid of the past.
有人惧怕过去。
35. Some people are afraid of the future.
有人惧怕未来。
36. Still others are afraid of rejection,
还有人害怕被拒绝,
37. and still others are afraid of danger.
也有人惧怕危险。
38. Whatever your kind of fear is, it is not from God.
不管人惧怕的是什么,这些都不是从上帝而来。
39. Your fear comes from the enemy of your soul.
惧怕来自我们灵魂的仇敌。
40. God is longing for you to overcome your fear.
神盼望我们能够战胜恐惧。
41. In fact, one thousand years before Christ, God told His people something about fear.
实际上,在耶稣降生一千多年以前,神就告诫以色列人有关恐惧的事。
42. He told them that only God’s wisdom can protect His children from fear.
神告诉他们说,唯有神的智慧才能保守祂的儿女脱离恐惧。
43. For those of you who are listening for the first time,
如果你今天第一次收听这个节目,
44. we are in the middle of a short series of messages on wisdom.
我们正在播出有关智慧的一个短系列。
45. In the last message, we saw, in Proverbs, Chapter 1, the plea of wisdom;
上一次,我们根据箴言第1章讲到:“智慧的呼唤”;
46. and, here in Chapter 2, we will see the protection of wisdom.
今天,在箴言第2章里说到:“智慧的保护”。
47. In Proverbs, Chapter 2, Solomon describes how God protects us from fear.
在箴言第2章里,所罗门描述了,神如何保护我们脱离恐惧。
48. He tells us, first, the condition of protection from fear-
他首先谈到了,要脱离恐惧须具备的条件──
49. verses 1 to 4;
记在1到4节;
50. and, secondly, He tells us the consequences of the protection from fear-
其次,他讲到,保护我们脱离恐惧所带来的效果──
51. verses 5 to 22.
记在5到22节。
52. First, the condition of receiving protection from fear.
我们先来讲:要脱离恐惧须具备什么条件。
53. In verse 1, it says, “My son, if you receive my words….”
第1节说:“我儿,你若领受我的言语”
54. The word "if’" is very important.
请特别留心:“若” 这个字。
55. This is a conditional promise.
这是一个带条件的应许。
56. If you want the protection of wisdom,
如果你想要智慧保护你,
57. if you want the benefits of wisdom,
如果你想得到智慧带来的好处,
58. if you want the reward of wisdom,
如果你想要智慧奖赏你,
59. then, you must be receptive to God’s wisdom.
那么,你就必须乐意接受从神而来的智慧。
60. God gives us choices.
神给我们选择的自由。
61. When God created Adam and Eve, He distinguished people from animals by allowing people to choose.
当初神造亚当、夏娃,而人与动物的区别就在于,神赋予人有自由选择的权利。
62. God created us as men and women, not as puppets.
神创造我们成为男人、女人,而不是木偶。
63. When He created animals, God created them with instincts to govern their behavior.
神创造动物的时候,只赐与牠们生存的本能。
64. You don’t have to tell an ant to store up provision for the winter.
蚂蚁不需要别人提醒,就知道应该储备粮食来过冬。
65. A bee does not have to go to school to learn how to gather nectar and make honey.
蜜蜂不需要接受教育,就晓得如何采集花蜜酿成蜂蜜。
66. Animals do everything by instinct,
动物是依靠其本能而生存,
67. but God created humanity differently.
然而,神造人却不是这样的。
68. He gave us the ability to think,
祂赐给我们思考的能力,
69. and to reason,
理解的能力,
70. and to analyze,
分析的能力,
71. and to choose,
选择的能力,
72. and to make decisions.
以及作出决定的能力。
73. Above all, He gave humanity a spirit.
祂更赋予人类灵性。
74. Why?
为什么呢?
75. So that the human spirit can be indwelt by the Holy Spirit;
这样,神的灵才能与我们同在;
76. but, when Adam sinned, the Holy Spirit left him;
可是,亚当犯罪以后,圣灵就离开了我们;
77. and every one of us inherited Adam’s depravity.
而且,每一个亚当的后代也因此继承了他的罪性。
78. Every one of us was born without the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.
我们不会天生就有圣灵的同在。
79. From the time Adam sinned, all of humanity was born with Adam’s sin.
从亚当犯罪以后,每个人生来就带着亚当的罪性。
80. We are born with the inclination to choose folly,
我们都有一个倾向愚昧的天性,
81. but Jesus came from Heaven as the second Adam.
可是,耶稣作为第二个亚当从天降下。
82. Jesus came to earth as the last Adam,
祂降世成为末后的亚当,
83. and Jesus came to set us free from the enslavement of sin.
耶稣来就是要把我们从罪恶的奴役中释放出来。
84. Jesus came to set us free from fear;
耶稣要把我们从恐惧中释放出来;
85. and, when His Holy Spirit dwells in us,
而且,当圣灵住进我们心里时,
86. He enables us to choose wisdom;
圣灵就赐给我们能力来选择智慧;
87. and, when we choose wisdom, wisdom brings a blessing with it;
如果我们选择了智慧,智慧就会带来相应的福分;
88. and, so, my listening friend,
因此,我亲爱的朋友,
89. to receive wisdom’s protection, you not only have to be receptive, but you must also be resolute.
想要得到智慧的保护,你不仅要在态度上乐意,还要有果断的行动。
90. You must seek wisdom like seeking a hidden treasure.
你要寻找它如同寻找隐藏的珍宝。
91. When you are looking for treasure, you keep on looking.
你在寻找财宝的时候,一定是不停地找来找去。
92. You don’t give up for any reason.
无论如何,你都不愿意放弃。
93. You are persistent.
你会坚持不懈,
94. You are dedicated.
你会全情投入,
95. You are committed.
你会专心致志。
96. In the same way, you must be committed, also, to the seeking of God’s wisdom.
同样,在寻求从神而来的智慧时,你也要全力以赴。
97. You don’t just say, "Well, I prayed for wisdom and I didn’t get it."
不要说:“哎,我已经向神祷告求智慧了,但没什么结果呀。”
98. No, you don’t give up seeking the treasure of wisdom.
不,永远都不要放弃。
99. This persistence in seeking wisdom is difficult;
坚持寻求智慧的确不容易做到;
SECTION B
乙部
1. and, when it comes to seeking the wisdom of God, you cannot have somebody else do it for you.
而且,除了你自己以外,没有人可以代替你来寻求神的智慧。
2. I’m sure you’re probably asking by now,
现在也许你会问:
3. "Where do I get this true wisdom?"
“我到哪儿去寻找这种真智慧呢?”
4. True wisdom of God comes from His Word;
神的智慧当然出自神口中的话;
5. and that is why we often offer you the Word of God to send to you,
因此我们盼望你能够有一本自己的圣经。
6. because every time you search through the Word of God, you will discover treasures.
每当你潜心研读圣经,你就会发掘到里面所隐藏的智慧。
7. The more you seek, the more treasures of wisdom you’ll find;
你越寻求,就会挖掘到越多的智慧;
8. but, secondly, wisdom’s protection also has consequences-
第二点,智慧的保护会带来相应的效果──
9. verses 5 to 22
在5到22节,
10. of Proverbs 2.
箴言第二章,
11. The first consequence is that you will stand in awe of God;
第一种效果是:你会满怀着敬畏站在神面前;
12. and, when you stand in awe of God, God will fill your heart with wisdom;
当你存敬畏的心来到神面前时,神所赐的智慧就会充满你;
13. and, when God fills your heart with wisdom,
当神的智慧充满了你的心,
14. every time you open your mouth, you will say something worthwhile.
你口中说出的话语,都是有意义的。
15. The consequence of wisdom’s protection is that, when you speak, you will bless others.
智慧保护你的结果就是,从你口中说出的话会变成他人的祝福。
16. Remember this, my listening friend.
亲爱的朋友,请你牢记,
17. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, not the end of it.
敬畏耶和华是智慧的开始,而不是结尾。
18. Fear of the Lord leads to trust.
敬畏神会带来信任,
19. Trust leads to love,
而信任则带来真爱,
20. and love casts out fear.
爱就把恐惧赶走。
21. I want you to dig a little deeper with me here for a minute in verse 8.
让我们对第8节的含义再深入地想一想。
22. “… guarding the path of justice and preserving the way of His saints.”
“为要保守公平人的路,护庇虔敬人的道。”
23. What does that mean?
这话的意思是什么呢?
24. When a judge pronounces judgment, what is he doing?
当一位法官宣判结果的时候,他在做什么呢?
25. Yes, he is punishing the wicked;
不错,他正在惩罚那些有罪的人;
26. but the judge is doing something else.
然而,法官同时还在做另外一件事,
27. The judge is protecting society from wickedness.
那就是保护社会免受伤害。
28. The judge is protecting what is right and true;
法官正在保护公义和真理;
29. and, so, the judge is not merely condemning the wrong,
因此,法官不仅惩罚罪恶,
30. the judge is also protecting the good;
法官也是在维护正义;
31. and, here, in Proverbs, Solomon is saying similar things.
在箴言这里,所罗门告诉我们同样的道理。
32. The object of wisdom is to protect us from the instability and the onslaught of the wicked.
智慧可以保护我们免受罪恶势力的猛烈攻击。
33. Verses 9 to 11 tell us that wisdom will bring you pleasure in the midst of pain.
9到11节告诉我们,即使在痛苦当中,智慧也会带给我们喜乐。
34. Wisdom will give you peace in the midst of chaos and confusion.
在嘈杂混乱的处境中,智慧要带给你心中的平安。
35. Wisdom will shelter you in its safe cradle.
智慧要把你藏在它的翅膀下,得享安稳。
36. In verse 12, he says that God’s wisdom will actually shield you from those who intend to mislead you.
在12节他又说,神的智慧要救你脱离那些说乖谬话迷惑你的人。
37. I am sure, my listening friend, you understand that, sometimes, people plot and scheme to take us where we don’t want to go.
亲爱的朋友,要知道有些心怀叵测的人总是要迷惑我们误入歧途。
38. Because they do it so diabolically, we don’t see their trick until it’s too late.
他们鬼鬼祟祟,当我们发现的时候,已经为时太晚了。
39. God’s wisdom will keep you from being tricked.
从神而来的智慧能够保守我们脱离人的诡计。
40. God’s wisdom will show you which way to go when you are uncertain.
在我们不知所措的时候,神的智慧可以指引我们当行的道路。
41. These are the consequences of wisdom’s protection.
这就是智慧给我们的保护。
42. Wisdom’s protection will fill your mouth with words of wisdom.
智慧要保守你,让你口中满了智慧的言语。
43. Wisdom’s protection will shelter you from danger,
智慧要保护你免受一切的灾害,
44. and wisdom will protect you from evil people.
智慧也要保守你脱离一切的恶人。
45. Let me summarize to you verses 13 to 22.
让我把13到22节这段经文总结一下。
46. There are forces in the world that are continuously working hard to destroy what is good.
虽然在这个世界上有一股力量不断地兴风作浪要毁掉良善。
47. There are wicked people who try to convince the children of God to fall into the dreadful trap of sin.
虽然那些恶人总是想方设法要引诱神的儿女陷入罪的网罗。
48. All of these evil and wicked intents can be frustrated and eliminated.
但是,这些邪恶的势力都要失败和瓦解。
49. How?
怎么瓦解呢?
50. When wisdom is protecting you,
如果智慧在保护着我们,
51. when the wicked succeed in misleading the child of God,
当邪恶似乎把神的儿女引离正路了,
52. he or she can only expect pain and distress;
他们只有束手就擒,陷入痛苦和悲惨中;
53. but, when you are in the arms of wisdom,
然而,因为我们是藏在智慧的保护之下,
54. wisdom will protect you from that pain and distress.
所以,智慧就能保守我们脱离痛苦和悲哀。
55. Well, some of you may be listening today
在听众朋友当中,
56. who may have come out of wisdom’s protection;
也许有些人还没有在智慧的保护之下;
57. and, now, you are living in fear.
那么,你现在正处于危险当中。
58. You may have engaged in dishonest business deals.
也许你正在用不光明的手法做生意。
59. You may be even in prison.
甚至你身陷牢狱之中,
60. You may have opened your life to Satan’s deception.
也许你已经中了撒但的诡计,
61. You may have allowed your success to make you arrogant.
也许你的成功使你骄傲自大。
62. Wherever you are,
不管你的处境如何,
63. today, you can get back under the shadow of wisdom’s protection
今天,你都可以来到智慧的荫蔽下,让智慧来保护你。
64. and, then, begin to seek it daily in the Word of God.
并开始每天读神的话,寻求智慧。
